Dear Daniel and Jan,

for the new TDIS operation, STI has requested to add to the current temperatures interlocks also the cooling water flowmeter.

This interlock will be “threated” in UNICOS like the temperature ones (adjusted threshold, mask possibility etc.)

Please tell me if you need more info or if you would like that this change will be presented in a more formal way

Anyway this info will be present in the functional specification of the equipment and in the functional specification of the control system

thanks a lot

have a nice weekend

Dear All,

Just a quick input from my side:

Yes, it will be very good to have this presented in an upcoming MPP.

What I would like to hear is the criticality (if the cooling/temperature interlock would fail, what will be the damage and time to recover?). From this one has to derive the flexibility of the interlock (hardware, software, masking etc.). Like the discussions we had on the TIDVG.

So if you (or somebody else) can present the criticality and the implementation, that would be great.

Cheers,

Jan

Hello Jan,

From the STI side David (in CC) could certainly present the requirements and the technical reasoning for introducing such an interlock. For its implementation in the interlock logic, I let Mario manage this part.

Ok for an upcoming MPP, but if possible I would wait that both TDIS are successfully installed in the machine.

Cheers,

Marco

TDIS P2 is installed but need to be “retouched” due to an alignment error.

TDIS P8 installation is foreseen by end of November.

So I would propose something my mid-December or early January.
