Pre-meeting between Jan, Raffaello, Verena, Nicolas took place on MAR-12-2021.

Jan: As of this run, the MKQ is protected by the BETS. However, it can kick at full strength at injection to clean the kicker gaps (like the ADT in the LHC), and only protects by procedure.

To be presented in the MPP in summer:

  • The damage potential of the MKQ with LIU beams
  • Protection to put in place
    • Protect time, like done for LHC MKI when in cleaning mode.
    • Protect amplitude, possibly with SMP flag for SMPv2
