Hi,
I propose to postpone this a bit as nobody is working on it and there are no concrete plans either.
I once had a version that sort of worked, but not for fast switching. I removed it because the stupid TL FGCs kept filling all the SIS logs with stupid exceptions (over 90% of the log file content) and the equivalent of the beta* gap interlock for the TL collimators (since the optics ID from SIS was supposed to be used like beta* in the ring) was never implemented by STI. In part probably because Stefano did not care and did not push. Being useless I removed it.
This new idea means also essentially that we can decommission all the TL collimator BIS interlocks since the entire safe logic will be in SIS ;-), including jaw positions...
Cheers, Jorg
